POC Open Mic#7

Museum of Impossible Forms with Open Mic Helsinki is excited to host and present POC Open Mic #7

PoC = Person of Colour
PoC Open Mic Helsinki = An open mic event in Helsinki where persons of colour, members of groups racialised as non-white, and those from ethnic minorities get a chance to perform.

This time, we privilege younger performers, especially those who have not had a chance to take the stage with us before. All you need to do is turn up, tell us you want to go on, and the stage is yours! Our event is a great place for beginning artists, especially first timers and newbies, to sing, perform, rap, tell stories, make music in any language of their preference.

POC Open Mic Helsinki is a safe space for people of color and racialised minorities to be heard and seen and experienced by their community of color. Friends who do not belong to racialised minorities are welcome to join the audience, enjoy the energy, and give our stars some love.

Confirmed acts:

Spoken word by Tania Nathan
Standup comedy by Arvind Ramachandran
Open mic = register on the spot and the mic is yours

Free entry. Doors open 6.30 pm. Showtime 7.00 pm.
Children welcome. Please bring your own drinks and snacks.

Safer space rules apply and will be shared at the beginning of the event.
