How can we learn something that we don’t know yet? On the one hand this sounds like a paradox, but isn’t it actually what research is all about? In the last years several curatorial, educational and artistic endeavours and forms of practice-based research have tried to encounter this paradox. In a two-day seminar we will follow curatorial, educational and artistic strategies of knowledge production as exploration, investigation, imagination and/or reflection. Wanting to challenge and be challenged back. We aim to share ideas and think together about research strategies and the production of critical knowledge.
Para-educational Research is constituted by a group of researchers at the Aalto University Department of Art finding connections between their inquiries.
Coffee and lunch will be served.
The full programme is announced here: https://museumofimpossibleforms.org/2017/06/20/conference-para-educational-research/
For practical reasons we would like to know if you intend to join for coffee and/or lunch. Please sign up latest by August 20th at herrala.satu@gmail.com
